  • David Murathe Says There Was No MOU For Uhuru To Support Ruto In 2022 And Dares The DP To Resign

    David Murathe Says There Was No MOU For Uhuru To Support Ruto In 2022 And Dares The DP To Resign

    In January this year, Murathe resigned from his post as Jubilee Party’s interim vice-chairman, citing the conflict of interest in his bid to block Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid. The two have been trading punches ever since.

    Murathe who formed the ‘Stop Ruto’ movement has on several occasions vowed to do everything possible to ensure the DP doesn’t go for the presidency. At one point he called upon Ruto to retire together with Uhuru when his term expires in 2022.

    In another instance, Murathe warned that he would be moving to Supreme Court to bar Ruto from contesting. For long, it has been assumed that Uhuru would be supporting Ruto for presidency in 2022 in an assumed Memorandum of Understanding.

    While appearing on Punchline on K24 hosted by Anne Kiguta, the Mt. Kenya political heavyweight sent jabs that left many shocked. Murathe refuted claims of an MOU between the two jubilee principals saying there was none.

    He claimed that there was no such pact terming it as only political pronouncements that were only relevant then and now under review.

    “You have clearly heard the president on many occasions making pronouncements that tells you what is on his mind.  For instance, in Nyeri late last year, he said that his pick for president in 2022 will shock you, and last week, you heard him say that he doesn’t care who will be president. This are clear indications that he did not have any MoU with anybody,” he said in an interview with Anne Kiguta.

    He went further to tell the DP to produce any document if any that would prove that Uhuru had signed to support him in 2022. However, he said even if the president would go ahead and endorse Ruto, the Mt. Kenya region’s vote would not be automatic to him. “The president has only one vote. Even if he promises to support Ruto, that does not mean Mt Kenya region will vote for Ruto,” he said.

    In a scathing attack, Murathe questioned what Ruto would do in 2022 that he has not done for Kenyans since 2013. He accused the DP of influencing the tender to Sinohydro Tianjin Engineering Limited that was the higher bidder by Sh3 billion instead of China Gezhouba Group, the lowest bidder.

    Fresh on the assassination claims by the DP, Murathe said on Punchline that it was mere diversion attempt on the war against corruption. He went ahead and dared Ruto to resign if he indeed feels that there are people in the government who’re plotting to kill him and that his life is in danger.

    “On principle, if I feel that I have members of the Cabinet who I feel are a threat to my life and they are not going to resign, then I should take a walk,” said Murathe.

    Nepotism: Kalenjins Dominates The Kenya’s Beijing Embassy

    Hello Kenya West,

    I have been following your timely, and accurate posts in the https://t.co/4d7VefGqTM for two years. I want to expose this public service appointment to Kenya’s foreign missions. The Embassy of Beijing had the Following as the counselors and ambassador for the time i visited Beijing in 2016.
    1. Ambassador- Michael Kinyanjui (Kikuyu)
    2. Deputy Ambassador- John Odipo (Luo)
    3. Education counselor- Reuben Kipturgo (Kalenjin)
    4. Defense Attachee – Kalenjin
    5. Commerce- Omuse (
    6. Imigration- Edward Mbuthia (Kikuyu)
    7. Akinyi (luo)- Finance
    etc. The office was properly or slightly well constituted.

    Currently, when the term of former ambassador and his deputy elapsed we had Sarah Serem (Kalenjin) as ambassador, MR Waweru (deputy Ambassador), and the following: This is as per the trip I had recently to Beijing in June…
    1. Sarah Serem (Kalenjin) as ambassador,
    2. MR Waweru (Kikuyu) (deputy Ambassador),
    3. Education counselor- Reuben Kipturgo (Kalenjin)
    4. Defense Attachee – Kalenjin
    5. Commerce- Limo (Kalenjin)
    6.
    7. kalenjin
    Mainly it has staff from the two tribes Kalenjin and Kikuyu…. But as currently constituted, the number of Kalenjins are the majority. You can confirm with ministry of foreign affairs or public service commission. Do they want Kalenjin language to be spoken at the embassy? Why can’t we have a mixed creed of people from the diverse tribes in Kenya to be seconded to work in the embassy? This office stinks….. as we are for Building Bridges Initiative, we cant build bridges of tribalism and favoritism. Please spread this information, and let us have equal representation in embassies too. Last time I Checked, in the US, Kenyan embassy was also full of Kikuyus I do not know if that has changed.

  • It’s The End Of The Road For Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu

    It’s The End Of The Road For Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu

    Things are escalating from bad to worse for Kiambu Governor
    Ferdinand Waititu, who, if everything goes as it is now, might be forced out of office.

    Waititu, who’s whereabouts is currently unknown, has vanished together with his family after DPP Haji ordered for their immediate arrest and arraigned in court on several corruption and fraud charges.

    Haji’s orders followed Thursday’s ruling by Justice Mumbi Ngugi who ruled that Governors charged with corruption should stay away from office and their roles and duties be discharged by their deputies until their innocence is proven.

    The war on corruption seem to have been taken seriously and the Judiciary, which had been complaining of case interference from Executive and other arms of government, given chance to prove their prowess and independence to clean the country’s biggest mess.

    DPP Haji on Friday stated that Waititu and other corrupt county officials will face charges of irregular award of tenders worth Sh588 million and embezzlement of public funds.

    Amongst those of DPP’s radar with their arrest warrant out already include Governor Waititu’s wife Susan Wangari Ndung’u, director Bienvenue Delta Hotel, Lucas Wahinya the Chief Officer roads of Kiambu County and evaluation committee members Zakary Mbugua, Joyce Musyoka, Simon Kang’ethe, Anselm Wanjiku and Samuel Mugo.

    The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has been investigating allegations of irregular procurement of a tender for the upgrading of various gravel roads to bituminous surface in the county,

    According to EACC investigations, Waititu and his accomplices awarded M/s Testimony Enterprises Ltd irregular tenders worth Sh588 million 2017/2018 financial year.

    EACC alleges that the directors of M/s Testimony Enterprises, who have already pocketed 147.3million, are close associates of the Governor Waititu and his family.

    “I find that the award of the contract for Ksh.588,198,328.20 in respect to tender No.CGK/RTPW&U/142/2017-2018- for the upgrading of various gravel roads to Bitumen surface in Thika, Limuru, Gatundu North, Juja and Ruiru sub-counties was skewed in favour of M/s Testimony Enterprises Ltd, and the county government officials were culpable,” reads part of DPP’s statement.

    “The directors of M/s Testimony Enterprises Ltd were close associates of Ferdinand Ndung’u Waititu Babayao, the Governor of Kiambu County. The total amount of Ksh.147,274,055.39 have so far been irregularly paid to Testimony Enterprises Ltd in relation to the subject tender,” DPP adds.

    DPP Haji stated that he has independently reviewed the evidence in the inquiry file and the report and he’s satisfied that there is ‘more than sufficient evidence’ to sustain charges against Waititu and the other named suspects.

    DPP and EACC are set to charge Waititu, his family and co-accused with conflict of interest, abuse of office, wilful failure to comply with the law on procurement, engaging in fraudulent practices, fraudulent acquisition of property, and money laundering.

    DPP’s arrest orders comes at a time when Mr Waititu had filed an application at the high court seeking to bar his arrest and possible prosecution.

    Waititu is also on EACC’s radar over alleged questionable expenditure for, among other things, the controversial Kaa Sober programme that was valued at 2million daily contrary to the Public Finance Management Act.

    Waititu, just as any other corrupt leader, apparently majority of them are allied to Tangatanga movement, tenure is inevitably hitting the dead end.

    The Judiciary wants to prove a point and unluckily, Tangatanga folks are on the frying pan after allegedly frying wananchi.

    Chief Justice Maraga has also added his weight and Waititu just as his tangatanga corrupt folks are, without doubt, going to feel his wrath.

    Early July, Chief Justice Maraga suspended Kiambu Principal Magistrate Bryan Khaemba, who had given Governor Ferdinand Waititu an anticipatory bail while on his sick leave.

    According to a suspension letter from Chief Justice David Maraga, Khaemba won’t be paid or report at his place of work because his orders breached Rules 3 and 12 of the Judicial Service Code of Conduct and Ethics.

    Chief Justice David Maraga stated In the letter dated June 13 that Khaemba’s actions amount to gross misconduct contrary to the Human Resource Policies and Procedures Manual.

    “He sneaked to the court and made the ruling on Waititu’s matter MISC. CR APP. No 222 of 2019 yet it had not been allocated or listed to him.” CJ Maraga stated.

    “In view of the above, you (Khaemba) are hereby required to show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against you for the offence,” reads part of CJ Maraga’s letter.

    I don’t know how Tangatanga members chose themselves but the entire team from their leader DP Ruto, to the lowest ranks such as personal guards, drivers and even social media influencers are directly or indirectly involved in a fraud, corrupt, civil and legal charges or battle.

    Just the day, Another Tangatanga allied member- former CS Henry Rotich was forced out of the President Uhuru’s administration because of a multi-billion dams fraud.

    Early this year, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, an ardent supporter of the DP, alleged that the Government was planning to use the Police and KRA to frustrate those allied to Team Tangatanga. I wonder why and what is he doing that’s against the law?

    Kandara MP Alice Wahome told media that the State has revived her 2012 civil suit and the DCI ‘given’ a go ahead to prosecute her in a matter she stated it has nothing to do with nor under jurisdiction of theDCI.

    I don’t know why team Tangatanga believes that all leaders supporting the DP are being targeted by the State, funny enough, in which they are part and parcel of.

    According to them the system has changed tack and is targeting the Dr Ruto’s supporters in what they foolishly believe it’s plans to depict Ruto as a failed and corrupt politician. Well isn’t he?

    And just on more thing, supporting William Ruto’s political ambition is not, according to the laws governing our country, illegal and does not necessarily mean you’re corrupt.

    So for those saying they’re being attacked rather targeted by State entities should tell us what else are they doing apart from just ‘supporting’ the Hustler who lives in and almost owns the entire Nairobi.

    As for Babayao, how he gets out of this murk is only a matter of watch and see and if DPP’s recent assertions is anything to go by, he’s stuck and fixed. Who’s the Deputy Governor for Kiambu? That’s the man now to watch.

  • The LATE Kibra MP Ken Okoth Was In The League Of Sankara

    The LATE Kibra MP Ken Okoth Was In The League Of Sankara

    Hon Ken Okoth

    Tenda Wema Nenda Zako – Do Good and Go Your Way, is how i can best describe late Kibra MP Ken Okoth who battled colorectal cancer along with metastases in the Liver. His death was as a result of multiple organ failure that led him end his journey in Intensive Care Unit ( ICU) at Nairobi Hospital on Friday 26th.

    The whole country is mourning, a rare case as we’ve seen sorry to say many personas – public figures – MPs who’ve died and even Governors and Senators but didn’t shock for lack of a better term and people didn’t feel a a vacuum left as it has been seen in Ken Okoth’s demise simply because they made no good legacy to be remembered for. Believe me not and this is in the public portfolio, Ken Okoth was the only MP in Kenyan history who had neither corruption scandal nor any hullabaloo like sex scandals, paternity cases like most politicians have. This man was pure and too competent.

    He’s best known for his advocacy for Education and Healthcare which he was in the process of achieving in legalization of marijuana in Kenya and went as far as writing to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi to petition for the legalisation of the banned drug in Kenya basing his arguments as follows:

    1. “The proposed Bill seeks to ensure that there is regulation for growth and safe use of marijuana and hemp including the registration of growers of growers, producers, manufacturers and users with special focus on protection of children/minors from illicit use just as we do with tobacco and alcohol,”

    2. “The proposed bill seeks to also ensure that there is research and policy development on growth and use of marijuana and hemp for medical, industrial, textile and recreation purposes, with a focus on preservation of intellectual property rights for Kenyan research and natural heritage, knowledge and our indigenous plant assets.

    3. “That the growth and use of marijuana is decriminalised and amnesty measures is instituted for the removal of criminal offence against citizens with prior convictions

    4. “Progressive taxation measures for the marijuana industry to boost economic independence of Kenya and promote job creation along the full spectrum of the value addition chain for marijuana and hemp,”

    “Let medicinal, not ethical considerations carry the day”

    Okoth believed in Education and so even in his profile, he referred to himself as Educator. He bought buses for his constituency schools, built schools like Mbagathi High School, equipped these schools with learning materials all with CDF funds and personal contribution and partnerships.

    “Since education is the foundation of everything and can help many out of poverty, Vision Elimu Kwanza is meant to impact the lives of poor and needy children in the slums,” – Ken Okoth

    This is on record as he was named the best MP in use of CDF funds and since then he admired and touched so many lives.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Lessons learnt from Ken Okoth’s leadership strategy is: No need for many agendas and fail to accomplish any of them. Okoth chose two which he unarguably accomplished well and this has made him leave a legacy which will be forever be remembered.
    Hon Ken Okoth joins the league of young people who gone too soon:
    Patrice Lumumba – 35
    Bob Marley – 36
    Thomas Sankara – 37
    Tom Mboya – 38
    Che Guevara – 39
    Martin Luther King – 39
    Malcolm X – 39
    Ken Okoth – 41
    Jeff Koinange set to rename library project “Jeff Koinange Library” to “Ken Okoth Library.” This decision was made by Jeff in his tweet to honour Ken Okoth whom they partnered with in this project and which was set to be launched in Mbagathi Girls High School, Kibra.
    He also fought for the reclamation of Langata Primary land when DP was trying to grab it to extend his Weston hotel.
  • Why The Judiciary Of Kenya Is A Defective Graft
    Why The Judiciary Of Kenya Is A Defective Graft
    There are 3 steps involved to triumph over Graft: Investigation – Prosecution – Conviction.
    Lets first have an overview of 16 Brobdingnagian Money Heists in Kenyan Government of which non of the accused persons has ever been convicted due ‘Insufficient evidence’:
    1.NYS 1&2(KSh 791M +9 billion)
    2. EUROBOND 1&2
    3. Arror & Kimwarer Dam scandal ( Ksh 17B)
    4. The NCPB maize scandal (KSh 1.9 billion)
    5. The Afya House scandal (KSh 5 billion)
    6. Galana and Mwea Irrigation Scheme scandal (KSh 3.5 billion)
    7. Evans Kidero Foundation scandal (KSh 2.7B)
    8. Chickengate scandal (KSh 59M)
    9. Goldenberg scandal (KSh 100M)
    10. The Anglo-leasing scandal
    11.The Standard Guage Railway
    12. The Laptop tender row
    13. The hustler-jet scandal
    14.The UKUTABerg scandal
    15. The Karen land scam
    16. Kenya Pipeline Company multibillion oil spillage and jet oil scandals.
    Spontaneously after carrying out quite intensive research about cases of high profile precisely political class who’ve been charged and convicted over corruption cases all over the world, here are the examples:
    1.
    Liviu Dragnea, the country’s most powerful politician, tried to change the law to stay out of prison, but flopped
    The fight on corruption in Romania has seen its ups and downs since the country joined the European Union, but on May 27th the rule of law won a big battle. Liviu Dragnea, leader of the governing Social Democratic Party (PSD), was sent to prison for three and a half years, after an appeals court upheld his conviction. His downfall touched off a scramble for power. More important, it was a victory for elements of Romania’s judiciary and Anti corruption units that are fighting to clean up the country and rise from her death bed. The conviction was among big fish win for Romania’s National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA), an independent prosecutor’s office that has put thousands of officials and businessmen in jail. The DNA has dealt with Mr Dragnea before: in 2015 it convicted him of electoral fraud, a felony that barred him from serving as Prime Minister. Yet after the PSD and its coalition partners, the Liberal Democrats (ALDE), took office in December 2016, he became, in effect, the country’s most powerful politician. As head of the PSD and president of the legislature, he turned the full energy of the government towards keeping himself out of prison.
    2.
    Former South Korea president Lee Myung-bak was sentenced to 15 years in prison
    Former South Korea president Lee Myung-bak was sentenced to 15 years in prison  for corruption, adding him in a string of former leaders of the country who have faced similar charges after leaving office. He was also fined 13 billion won ($11.5 million). Lee, 76, a conservative politician and former Hyundai executive, served as president from 2008 to 2013, when most of the crimes took place. His successor Park Geun-hye was also sentenced to 25 years prison in a separate corruption scandal, after being ousted from office  following months of street protests.
    3.
    Former Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva
    Former Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, was jailed in April on a corruption conviction and was sentenced to nearly 13 more years in a new graft case, making it increasingly unlikely that a man once considered the lion of Latin America’s left would ever recover his political clout.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Despite the much hyped war against graft in Kenya which has made Kenya have a bad reputation in terms of corruption worldwide, no top political class – heavyweight has ever been convicted even 7 years down the line under a government which promised to fiercely deal with corruption because the same ruling government and the bosses of its arms are the deep state of the rogue system

    The interest of the court seems to be bail/bond money which in some cases is double injustice to victims. For example in former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero graft case where he was released on bond alongside his junior employees who earn as low as 30K but get released on millions bond which they cant afford since perhaps not all of them would be guilty. I know you wonder am saying they cant afford but ‘they do pay’. They’re paid for, those that cant afford, so as to maim them because out of frustration they can turn to state witnesses which the mastermind who in this case for example is Kidero cant afford loosing the battle.

    One who has wide knowledge and has done intensive research worldwide of precisely politicians – leaders conviction cases in developed countries excluding Africa can testify that no conviction case of high profile politician have been done by the Magistrate court as in the case of Kenya’s judicial system. Kenya’s poverty and huge National debt has resulted from political- leadership error and therefore political class accuses of any manner of corruption should be handled by top high court to the highest Supreme court if possible and not despised Magistrate court. Recently, Tuesday 23, former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and his Principal Secretary presented themselves to the DCI after an arrest warrant was put on them over Ksh17B Arror and Kimwarer dam scandal only to be charged in Magistrate Court and got released on bail pending pretrial on 8 August. This is already a dead case as the Authorities DPP, EACC and DCI see the firing of a sitting Cabinet Secretary as an achievement which actually is and Kenyans only hope is this be the first case of conviction which in my view might not be the case.

    I wonder how Kenya brags to have the best Judicial set up, the smartest lawyers who always win graft cases helping their clients be proven innocent, has the smartest judges and chief magistrates who has never found water tight evidence to convict public coffers but non of these people gets hired in international class, i mean even during President Uhuru Kenyatta’s and DP William Ruto’s ICC cases non of these wannabe lawyers were hired.

    In the Case of DCJ Philomena Mwilu who was arrested and charged with abuse of office, tax evasion and bribery, she had 32 volunteer lawyers from one political party or rather coalition NASA which was a secret signal and tip of an iceberg of how the system works: Do me i do you, scratch my back i scratch your back. These Lawyers turned Politicians have a greater influence and have compromised each other together with the judges because they’re all law breakers at some point and need each others support in times of need and this has made these people trade country’s wealth and justice at their own personal interests.

    The day when first high profile conviction will happen in Kenya, it will send cold chills to these lootocrats and it will set the pace to a point where there will be a law squashing pardon of convicted public thieves like in Romania then it will start recovery of country’s wealth and boost economy.

    Action by the court freeing suspects on bond/bail pending pretrial/ hearing hands then later during hearing, the court declares accused not guilty due to ‘ insufficient evidence’ as it’s the language and the culture. The accused had been given time in the name of bond to interfere with the evidence, this is the period files goes missing, computers are stolen, witnesses are killed or maimed in any manner. I agree and we all agree with the fact that every accused person is entitled to bond/ bail but i think it’s high time it is reconsidered for if not, then evidence will forever be ‘insufficient’ and no progress will ever be made in the fight against graft in Kenya.

  • David Matsanga On Why He Supports Uhuru’s War On Corruption

    David Matsanga On Why He Supports Uhuru’s War On Corruption

    BY DR MATSANGA DAVID

    Most Africans who love Kenya are happy about the fight against CORRUPTION. The war is ranging and systematic. If you have eaten, don’t complain when the bill is brought to the table. The tragedy of this that some people  want to eat everything available on the menu at once. That is the type of corruption in Africa

    When a National cause arises there is no reverse. The danger of listening Mafia Kings is that you die alone. There are those who dip their dirty fingers in the cooking pot while still in the kitchen. Both are cases of gluttony, albeit at different levels.

    Shakespeare said we should not only take poets and jesters but Arrest the PHARAOHS . All must be brought to account without delay. The arrest of Treasury  mandarins in Kenya  is a major shot in the arm of anti corruption battle. From the look of things, more is to come.

    The Kingdom of graft must be shaking in panic as the fake walls of Jericho come down tumbling. Reverberating waves can be heard across the land of Kenya as rubble hits the ground.

    There are interesting  times ahead and I believe that President Kenyatta will  take this opportunity to REVAMP the FATIGUED  cabinet that is in SICKBAY. Almost all Parastatals are bleeding and the Ministry of Agriculture leads the bleeding .

    One of the mistakes in Political Science  is to do a PERESTROIKA when the entire system is RIDDLED with corruption allegation. This  will discourage the masses.  For the CURRENT PERCEPTION to be maintained let there be a new mood of UNITY strategy .

    Nominated MP Nasri Sahal Is Going Up In The Political Scale

  • Why It’s Time For Garissa Governor Ali Korane To Go Home

    Why It’s Time For Garissa Governor Ali Korane To Go Home

    By Abdi Dahir.

    For the optimistic few who hold on to the slim hope that Garissa County Government under the disastrous leadership of Governor Ali Bunow Korane will bring development and implementation of their pledges must divorce that idea. Nothing tangible will ever come out this failed dictatorial regime which has terribly sunk to the lowest of governance levels.

    Instead of ushering in an era of change and prosperity , Governor Korane has chosen to go down the unenviable road of deception, nepotism , corruption and mismanagement.

    All county contracts and tenders are awarded to his family and relatives. Almost all tenders are given to Jihan Company owned by Governor Korane and run by his family.

    Akad company is also another beneficiary of the skewed and biased tender awarding. After pocketing millions of money, the said company has been returning nil  (0) as their Tax returns. These is a criminal act since it denies the government a lot of money as tax and VAT.

    The same level of nepotism is evident by employing his family members and relatives.

    Korane has failed to provide true and proper command, inspiration and strategic vision for their county and is destined to leave a battered , dismembered and tattered county behind. The funny thing is that he is happy all while causing havoc all over sinking Garissa and sweeping it down the drains. In his head , he thinks he is infallible. Parochial and deluded thinking , isn’t?

    Leaders like Korane delude themselves and mislead the mass by creating sideshows and unnecessary theatrics to deceive people that he is unable to implement his pledges due to external interferences. This is a cheap ploy to divert the attention of the great people of Garissa.

    Korane thinks that inaction is a viable choice not knowing he is deluding himself. He unfortunately believe he can continue to do what he likes and be comfortable or that he can continue to rape the county coffers without a sense of responsibility.

    These are dangerous illusions. They often stem from the frequently intoxicating sense of power and control that comes with a leadership position. Korane must be reminded that leadership positions are temporary and terms ends. He will be sent to the extreme end of political oblivion and misery. Your days are just numbered.

  • Five Key Lessons To Learn From Bob Collymore’s The Boys Club

    Five Key Lessons To Learn From Bob Collymore’s The Boys Club

    I was watching Boys club on JKL and i pointed out a few notable things;

    Friendship is intentional and an investment. Your inner circle will always influence the most important decisions in your life. This is what it means by choosing your friends wisely because they can either make or break you.

    True friends will always show up. All these men are busy people, they got companies to run and bigger responsiblities to handle but they still found time for Bob. They all flew to London to visit him in hospital. We create time for things and people that are most important to us. So next time someone gives you a series of excuses on why they cant or are too busy, just know you are not one of their priorities.

    You are the sum total of the 5 friends you hang out most with. In this day and age, being wealthy, in power and having scandals almost go hand in hand. I’m not insinuating these boys dont have skeletons in their closet but the fact that those scandals are not on our faces means they handle their shit right. What values do your friends ascribe to? Are you all about drinking, partying, women or men and a trail of scandals?

    For a friendship to thrive, it needs purpose. Purpose is what makes you acknowledge this life is more than you. More than your wants, your needs, your desires. It is what makes us do more than what we are supposed to, what makes you go out of your way for others. Find friends with purpose. Friends who come together and make an impact in spaces where they never expect to be repayed.

    Fun Friends! They say life is for the living and we only have one life to live. Find friends who will make every day of your living worth the while. Laugh and learn at your mistakes, travel, do things that strengthen your bond because those memories are what you will forever hold when they are long gone.

    Re-evaluate your friendships. If it doesnt do you good, find one that will.

    Safaricom CEO Wars: Letter To Sylvia Mulinge

    Somebody lied to you and fattened you for slaughter. In the past hours, you’ve been the topic of discussion in social media streets, you’ve attracted both lovers and haters which is how it works. Moments after Safaricom Board announced the former CEO Michael Joseph as the interim CEO, your name popped on our timelines and I know it wasn’t a coincidence.

    While this remains unsubstantiated, word is a campaign was sponsored to gunner support for you which I don’t oppose. However, if indeed you were aware of such a campaign being kicked off and gave your blessings, you might have just made the greatest mistake of your life.

    Trending on social media comes with its own shortcomings, everyone has a skeleton, it comes to surface at one point. For years, popular blogger Nyakundi has been highlighting a case that you’ve been fighting hard to clear your name, the case of an 8-year old baby girl that you were accused of killing from drunk driving.

    There’s a wise saying in these streets that reputation is everything and this particular case has and will continue to deal great blows to you. Majority of Kenyans since you started trending are talking about the murder case than your credentials. In fact many don’t even know that since 2018, you’ve been the Director of the Consumer Business Unit at Safaricom and that daily you reported directly to the  CEO.

    Your case has come with serious integrity accusations, it has been alleged that you tried to compromise agencies in the case to your favor in delaying the case, that you allegedly tried to pay the family of the kid you were accused of killing Sh950,000 as an out of court settlement.

    With a revenue of about Sh233B, Safaricom remains if not the biggest profit making company in the region. This comes with heavy responsibilities one of them is maintaining a brand’s reputation.

    I don’t doubt your credentials but I feel putting yourself out there in the media and more so making your legal issues centre of focus not only makes the company cringe to the fact of making you the face of the company as the CEO it also exposes you to continuous hammering.

    Safaricom, which is 35 percent owned by South Africa’s Vodacom, controls about 62 percent of Kenya’s mobile market, with 30 million subscribers.

    Unsaid truth is in Kenya apart from the presidency, there are positions that people dread, being the chairman of IEBC and lately Safaricom which in spirit is a political post. You only need to see how fiercely Kenyans have criticized with the harshest words the past two CEOs.

    During the last elections, Safaricom was accused of conspiring with the government to rig elections but that’s not the story today. The position of Safaricom CEO need a crocodile skin and giant balls. It comes with serious mental weight. Unlike other corporates, this position puts you in public eye and scrutiny.

    Same Kenyans supporting you today for the post will also turn against you tomorrow, while considering you must factor those realities.

    On to something that you already know, the board interviewed candidates, including a senior Kenyan banking executive, before settling on an unidentified foreign national from within the Vodafone group to succeed Collymore.

    But the government objected, citing an agreement supporting the appointment of a Kenyan as CEO, adopted at a shareholder meeting in 2017. It doesn’t come as a surprise that in this whole discussion the past few hours, we’ve seen government operatives rooting for you making it a bit obvious that perhaps you’re the government’s choice which again puts you in a compromising situation.

    Ive read through many comments and many are saying the government is insisting on a Kenyan, Someone they can easily manipulate, I’ve not worked with you so I can’t tell you’re easily manipulated but perceptions are being drawn as the debate goes.

    Safaricom’s Chief Financial Officer Sateesh Kamath was appointed acting CEO for the better part of last year when Collymore was on leave for cancer treatment in London. He silently held the position without much public interest and that’s the advantage of not courting controversy.

    In a recent interview, the interim CEO said, “Safaricom is a very special company, you just don’t put anybody a CEO because they are there. It has to be somebody special who could continue the role. At this point we (the board) thought that none of the ex-com (Executive Committee) were ready for this role today.” This speaks a lot about what the board thinks about you.

    Its not shocking news that the board had already settled on a foreigner to pick it up and that all is going is a tag of war between Vodacom and Government on candidates choice.

    Whatever the outcome, consequences are going to be there, for you, your family and future, your name being in many people’s mouth now, a reputation has been drawn. Will affect you negatively and positively.

    Positively that you could become the next and first female Safaricom CEO or remain a woman with integrity questions in the public eye whether courts exonerates you or not. It’s a gamble, but what shall remain permanent and possibly haunt you in your future endeavors is the skeletons now on the public eye.

    For me, starting the lobbying on social media was the worst step, would’ve silently been done. Now the board and public can draw and join so many dots. On the positive side, Kenyans don’t really care much about integrity I mean Waiguru is now the Governor Of Kirinyaga.

  • Ruto’s Assassination Claim Is The Joke Of The Year

    Ruto’s Assassination Claim Is The Joke Of The Year

    In a widely broadcasted live recording on his Facebook page, Nairobi Governor claimed his life was under threat. Sonko made claims that the NIS has been spying on him over unknown reasons.

    In the recording, Sonko touched a topic that’s going to be the basis. He said the deep state was after him. He went further daring them to go ahead bragging that he’s immortal. Who’s this deep state he was talking about? Nobody knows, nobody will.

    Now, the deputy president of Kenya William Ruto recently made similar claims that his life was in danger. Apparently, some CSs has been meeting at a hotel adjacent to the National Intelligence Service Headquarters. This is where the bluff starts.

    How on hell do you gather balls even if you’re as solid as Lwanda Magere to even talk about killing someone in an hotel with all the surveillance and more so knowing well the NIS ears and eyes are all there.

    Why is the DP excessively paranoid, suspicious of everyone including his shadow? Has he made too many enemies? Or here’s a man willing to go to the extreme for it seems the 2022 presidency is a matter of life and death to him?

    Even the so called deep state knows well killing a leader in the rank of Ruto can be the worst mistake they can do. Ruto has been sliced well, he no longer controls the cabinet, he’s like a wife trying to hold on to a marriage that’s over even after the husband running away from home, she still hopes he’ll come back.

    Moses Kuria the Gatundu loudmouth MP once called for the assassination of Raila Odinga. Do you think he was the first leader from Central or anywhere to have had such thoughts? I’m certain it has been considered but you see the problem is, leaders like Raila who hold millions of supporters you don’t touch them unless you want to lose a country.

    Well one can argue that Ruto has credible reasons to be afraid of his life since people like Saitoti who had similar presidential ambitions were assassinated in the election stretch, balderdash. Ruto is not anywhere in the influence level as Saitoti was then. Ruto is way more popular, he has a following, a blind one, like a fly that will follow a corpse to the grave.

    I really don’t know how the assassinations are plotted, however, I know most of high profile cases have been attributed to the state but still, no one in the state has never been singled out and pinned to any assassination from Tom Mboya to Chris Msando.

    It’s always a quick clean job. Saying someone like Mucheru, Cecily people who don’t even look like they can slap a fly if it landed on his crotch is the epitome of foolery.

    So far what we know is some unauthentic letter that looks like a work of some kindergarten bottom of the class kid job is the basis of investigations that we don’t even know how or where it will go.

    DP who’s the complainant is even yet to record a statement with the DCI, what is he afraid of if indeed he knows its authentic and life in danger?

    If someone wanted to kill Ruto, it can’t be fine by state errand boys drinking tea in some hotels, there are unseen forces in this country, people who seat in boardrooms in some dark place somewhere to decide the country’s next president, those ones I can buy assassination plot if any. But again, you’ll never hear of their footsteps like the extra cautious Saitoti didn’t see them coming. So tuwache porojo my friend.

    Im also in the view that if these claims were made for political scoring which is a likely scenario since the DP is on full campaign mode, it lays a hostile ground. He’s likely to whip up emotions in his community who’ll say their son is targeted and ‘arm up’ to protect him. I don’t need to go into details, history of the country speaks for itself.

    So until the DP goes to record a statement that his life is in danger, this remains the bluff of the year in my opinion. I’m my village there’s a popular saying “Jakuodho oyie dhao’. Ends.

  • Nation Media Group’s John Kamau A Tedious Conspiracy Theorist

    Nation Media Group’s John Kamau A Tedious Conspiracy Theorist

    Nation writer John Kamau can do riveting, award-winning investigative reporting. He knows his stuff. But, hey, watch out! Kamau can also be a tedious conspiracy theorist dishing up stale regurgitations that insult readers’ intelligence.

    What is the point of a story about a prominent politician with presidential ambitions whose death remains a mystery seven years later? What are readers supposed to do about the unresolved mystery? How does retelling the tale help public understanding?

    Immediately one hears that an investigative journalist is on a mystery death story, the expectation is that the scribe would dig up something.

    We are talking about a big story on the late former Vice President Prof George Saitoti appearing in the Sunday Nationon June 16.

    “Seven years ago today, George Saitoti – Kenya’s most mysterious and excessively paranoid politician – was buried at his Enkasiti Farm in Kitengela after dying in an air crash six days earlier,” the report begins.

    “Nobody knows what happened and why a brand new police helicopter fell from the sky over Ngong Forest – and those who know have kept their code of silence to date.”

    Agh! Nobody knows what happened. Yet those who know have kept their silence to date. What is the meaning of that? Is it that nobody knows or those who know don’t want to talk? It can’t be both.

    Many paragraphs down, we are told Prof Saitoti had only three trusted security confidantes: Inspector Joshua Tonkei, his personal assistant, Michael ole Tanju, and a bodyguard named Sultan. The only other confidant was businessman Jimi Wanjigi.

    Might these people know what happened and why a brand new police helicopter dropped from the sky over Ngong Forest killing Saitoti, assistant minister Orwa Ojode and everyone else on board? The writer abandons the reader to guess.

    “In life, and by paranoia standards, Prof Saitoti’s only equivalent was his erstwhile political mentor Nicholas Biwott, who saw life in apocalyptic terms, too,” the report says.

    Fine.

    “Both were embodiments of the McCarthyism mentality, and lived in either pseudo or innate fear, real or imagined.”

    What is that? Where does the writer pull “McCarthyism mentality” from? What is it? Who is Kamau writing for?

    Look, the whole wide world knows – ok, let’s not exaggerate, many people know – about Saitoti’s paranoia. Sample these old online media reports:

    Nation: Saitoti was a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma

    KTN Inside Story: Death in Ten Minutes

    Standard: Why Kenyan minister Saitoti lived in fear

    Besides, everyone knows Saitoti’s famous “There come a time” speech – what was it famous for, anyway? Media people decided it was famous, just like that.

    Saitoti’s boss President Moi humiliated him. He was implicated in the Goldenberg scandal. Was fabulously rich. As VP he nearly died of poisoning by unknown people. He wanted to be president. Post-mortem report indicated he might have inhaled poison before the plane crash.

    And so on and so forth. But, sorry, none of that is news. Nothing in the entire Nation story is not public knowledge already.

    “Seven years after his mysterious death, Prof Saitoti’s life is still shrouded in mystery.” That is how Nation writer John Kamau ends his story.

    So, people, what do we do? A prominent investigative journalist has just told us Saitoti’s mysterious death is still shrouded in mystery. Tufanye nini? Why did he bother writing all that?

    Yet Kamau is not alone in this travesty of investigative journalism. As we speak – sorry, write – it is possible some scribe somewhere is considering doing a story on the unresolved mysterious death of Chris Musando. Or Robert Ouko. Fr John Kaiser. Tom Mboya. JM. Pio Gama Pinto. Masinde Muliro. Any of the many political deaths in Kenya’s tortured history.

    Such stories often appear on death anniversaries, rehashing what is already in the public domain.

    Please stop, if you have unearthed nothing new. Investigative journalists must earn the title.

  • The End Of Huduma Number Marks The Birth Of A New Scandal

    The End Of Huduma Number Marks The Birth Of A New Scandal

    The government of Kenya launched Huduma Namba an initiative that had been collecting all details and bio data of Kenyans who volunteered to register.

    First, it was a voluntary process, that later the government through it’s Interior services Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiangi, imposed drills of threats that it’s key to all government services.

    The government also invested in a scare drill through Communication Authority Chair that it’ll switch off all SIM cards of those that will not register for Huduma namba.

    Which doesn’t make sense at all. If the government already knows citizens who are not yet registered on the namba, why else do they need to register?

    But it should be to everyone’s knowledge that Huduma namba has totally nothing to do with nor linked to any form of delivering government services.

    Either way Jubilee government has not been good in either case, at offering it’s mandatory services.

    They surely don’t need namba to offer services neither do we need that Huduma namba for us to get government services.

    Jubilee administration is full of corruption and corrupt leaders. Wit full of projects that swindle the State.

    The President has been appointing corrupt people to represent his administration and our country in and outside the country.

    This is coming at a time when almost, if not all, of government initiatives and services filled with massive graft scandals.

    This is the only government initiative that recorded very less, almost none, criticism.

    This raises red flag on what’s the main reason behind this government sponsored Huduma namba initiative.

    Everyone who is over 18 years in Kenya has a unique Identification Number. This is linked to almost every services you may require in this country.

    Services like buying or selling properties, opening a bank account, accessing your accounts, insurance, accessing health services, traveling in and outside Kenya and many more they are all linked to ID cards.

    This is not the only number the government of Kenya wants us to have, all of Kenyans by birth are issued with birth certificates, which also have a unique “service” number which mostly are used to register students and pupils.

    From Driving licenses, KRA PIN numbers, passport number, index numbers, License number and many more more numbers

    Kenyans are tired of having ‘Unique service numbers’ that majority are irrelevant and not part of government services.

    The President should now explain to Kenyans why the tax payers are losing money to this irrelevant initiative.

    Who is this that has landed the multi-million tender for printing new Huduma cards?

    Who is this that will supply the Huduma namba database software?

    Who is benefiting from the tender to supply computer hardware and most important, who’s gonna bag the multi-billion-shilling system maintenance contract?

    That’s the only way we will know the dark forces and companies behind the Huduma namba initiative that is already swindling the coffers.

    Kenya has been facing multiple cases of election rigging and government breaching and snooping on citizens privacy through their telecommunication and biometric data.

    This is not the first time our government has invested in initiatives that made massive losses.

    We all know of SGR, Galana- Kulalu irrigation scheme, Afya House scandal , multi billion Dams scandal , NYS, class 1 Laptops and not forgetting Sh1B oil spill scandal at KPC.

    The initial reports indicate that the Huduma Number innitiave will cost over ksh6 Billion. This is also said to triple up if you include maintenance services.

    This initiave comes amid the much anticipated Ksh 25 Billion national census

    Is the government committed in offering serious services to common mwananchi or they’re just concerned with their own plans to swindle while it lasts.

  • AFRICA: When Development and Democracy is Compromised The Human Survival is At Risk

    AFRICA: When Development and Democracy is Compromised The Human Survival is At Risk

    Development and Democracy is fundamental right to every citizen it doesn’t matter whether they are from which region, tribe, race or belong to which religion. In Africa, democratic-Icons are still spending sleepless night going around the region and preaching development and unity, their ambition is seeing Africa growing.
    Africa is a growing-potential zone in the world with huge raw materials, minds and space to invest, establish and explore new ideas and actualize them into reality. The growth is very slow because of factors which undermine them.
    We have seen many countries impressing changes during international forums like African Union summits and meetings, Economic Community of West African States, COMESA, South African Development Community, East African community etc During such forums, leaders are able to utilize money, time and minds to think, sit together and discuss progress of events touching lives of the nations, send representatives to investigate, review and ascertain progress of programmes in the regions and present report to the management and member states.
    Our major discussion has been settling wars in members states and solving food related problems especially in arid and semi-arid regions in Africa and improving living standards in the region. Instability in Somali government for instance has attracts many African nations who cry for justice, development and democracy, their citizens around the world want leaders and revolutionary team in Africa to intervene and promote peace in the region because they are part and parcel of Africa.
    Fortunately, leaders have tried championed development and democracy in many ways by using different approach some have yielded fruits for instance Southern Sudan is now enjoying fruits of African states, now it is slowly establishing developments and experiencing stability in terms of democracy and development. others like Somalia and Sudan are experienced tough economic challenges which forces citizens to cry and seek for interventions.
    I love African pride because leaders understand their ways of lives, during many forums, leaders put aside their interests and campaigned for economic bloc in Africa by encouraging exchange programmes among developing countries, assisting economically challenged nations, removing trade tariffs and subsidizing prices of goods to open markets for varieties of goods.
    The recent visit by Ugandan president Yuweri Muzeveni to Kenya paved ways to expand trading partnership, the huge investment on standard gauge railway SGR remained strong investment which two countries Kenya and Uganda share. Museveni managed to enlighten Kenyans and Ugandans about establishing manufacturing companies within the region for instance one huge papermill which will serve the whole region, he also talked about establishing good environment for trade by opening borderlines which is key for promoting and integrating business in the region. He later spoke about pressing issues bedevilling social-economic and political affairs in the region like corruption, tribal and lack of empowerment in the manufacturing industries in the region.
    For sure when development and democracy is compromised human survival is at risk. In Africa democracy growing positively and taking centre stage in shaping and changing mindsets of leaders.
    Africa is a potential giant in the world with huge investment, I believe in near future, it will be sending an information to the world about progress, democracy and development.

  • Police Impersonation And Their Public Relations

    Police Impersonation And Their Public Relations

    Keeping law and order has been proved to be every country’s biggest agenda. No one is safe until they feel safe. As much as safety starts with you, there are State personnel specially and specifically deployed to make sure there is law and order.

    Keeping law and order in Kenya is the mandate of the Police. Who operate under Kenya police Service. In well and clearly divided divisions, the Kenya Police Service make sure there is law and order as well as justice.

    These are the people who make sure that our rights are protected. They make sure there’s a calm environment that promotes political stability hence economic development. These are same people who literally have the nation’s security details at their hands.

    Also read: DCI: We Do Not Require Huduma Namba During The Application Process

    Now, when we start hearing and reporting the cases of police imposters scattered everywhere in our country makes our entire security setup a joke.  This causes lots of unnecessary instability. This discloses a lot of loopholes in our security set up. These imposters make people start thinking about how to protect themselves.

    Our security system was supposed to guard us internally and externally. This goes with a very thin margin of era. As I write this, I have been a victim couple of times to these police imposters. First was administration Police with a fake combat. Then Traffic police with unmarked reflector jackets and funny radio calls.

    But many people get into bad hands of plain clothes officers.  A lot of people are extorted by civilians pretending to be corps. This even gets worse when such imposters get hold of the real police radio calls and handcuffs. One wonders if they collude with The Police in service to commit these crimes or they have their way in, to our security system.

    Again, I was recently arrested by Police imposters who refused to talk to someone I had saved with a name similar to the Police spokesman. They even refused to take me to a nearby Police station. I had no cash on me and was not willing to provide any. That angered them and made them chain me for more than 5 hours in their Toyota wish car that had dusted plates. I was, fortunately, let loose after getting money from a friend who brought it in cash. They also ‘caught’ other citizens who paid off their freedom.

    How will we notice that these aren’t the Police? Our security set up works differently according to; who you are.  Where do you come from? Where do you stay? Rule and divide.  Divide and rule. Then protect. There is a section of people who can’t be arrested without a warrant. There are people who can’t be arrested without seeing and verifying the police identifications.

    Then there are the majorities who have no clue of what to check, demand or even do. They just get arrested and start negotiating for their release price. Well, everyone should agree with me that that is just the way these Police Officers operate. The public knows that the police will always charge you with an offense. Be it framed or not, no judicial officer cares as far as the police say so.

    The police have neglected the fact that they are supposed to introduce themselves. With all the identification of them being hidden, arise the cases of police impersonation. Hidden identities are the cause of all these menaces.

    It’s also the duty of the government to make sure that police identifications and budges are hard to fake and easily recognized by the civilians.  We all have duty to protect ourselves and others, which includes those who protect us and the nation at large.

    Kenya is a failing State and Police are still using colonial tactics to make our streets safer again. We have Police in our countries capital City that care less about law and order yet they are the ones that are mandated to do the very same thing. ‘Kukula na kirauni” that’s what folks know. At night in Nairobi, you get arrested for nothing and you have to pay something to be freed. The system is skewed against men and media has been used to shield this and portraying men as ‘city gangstas’.

    If security starts with me, then I have to be well equipped with knowledge concerning the security and part of the basic security details every single citizen should know.

  • JohnBosco: Why Government, Examination Bodies and Private Hospitals Are To Blame For Quackery In The Medical Field.

    JohnBosco: Why Government, Examination Bodies and Private Hospitals Are To Blame For Quackery In The Medical Field.

    Quacks who practice Quackery are defined as the promoters of unsubstantiated
    methods that lack a scientifically plausible rationale. Rate of Quackery in the medical field have rapidly infiltrated up to a point where majority of people have been convinced beyond reasonable doubt that only in medical field is where quacks are.

    My aim of this article is to get down behind the scenes and get to share with you what and how i think Quackery in the Medical field by ‘Quacks’ and Quacks is being promoted, what promotes it and will probably get worse in the near future if some of the recommendation i have aren’t put into consideration by the concerned authorities.

    Most of the quacks in medical field operate as mobile doctors, conducting tests and performing surgeries on patients in their respective homes and visiting them for continuity of care while some are based in private hospitals and some in public hospitals but at a low rate.

    Private Hospitals

    “Spend less on salaries and earn more income” has always been the Mission and Aim of Private healthcare facilities in a nutshell.

    Private hospitals prefer employees who will make them earn more profit than employing expensive professionals who will probably demand more salary hence slashing down the profit of the Cartels. Therefore, they go for desperate undergraduates who work on locum- part time hours with one qualified professional to white wash the briefcase authorities.

    On the better side of the coin, private facilities have assisted in reducing the rate of unemployment by offering jobs to these individuals considered quacks whom some are even more competent, credible than some egocentric professionals.

    National Government

    State of the economy:

    Firstly, high cost of living precisely financial distress elevates the desire and thirst for money to settle your bills and if your little knowledge and experience can bring food to your table if the Government of the day can’t make the cost any cheaper then you’ve to make a breakthrough by yourself. And this catalyses the cartelic business of Quackery without authorization and accreditation from the relevant authorities like Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB), Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDU), Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK), Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).

    Secondly, Ministry of Education accredited institutions, only 50% are competent and up to the task of maintaining the ISO standard. This means: The Ministry accredits many of these unqualified institutions through backdoor and briefcase hullabaloo, after all it is business. So many Medical learning institutions accredited are alive but still a few have employer trust on Competency, Integrity and Credibility which can be confirmed on practical grounds and those that aren’t trusted are still functioning, alive and well in the market and so are the Quacks that we have in the market. Why should Government continue accrediting more institutions when those that are there cant be monitored well to maintain their standards or their accreditation be terminated once the public and employer trust is lost. Why cant the Government close down these institutions that have lost public and employer trust and save Parents’ and Sponsors’ money than waste them and be rejected by employers or fail Board exams only to turn into quacks working in the black market.

    County Government

    On cutting cost, County Governments similarly prefer Diploma holder from a well recognised institution like Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) to A Degree holder. Output of a degree holder in medical field is more or less the same as that of a Diploma holder in working station. They also target unrecognised institutions products but cheap so as to ‘save’ county funds only to channel into employer pockets precisely county Ministry of Health (MoH) battalion responsible for employment. I believe if audit report is done on this matter, this is the status quo and so are the rise of Quacks in the system mostly in Counties which didn’t meet the Clean sheet audit report apart from Makueni County which had clean sheet audit.

    Examination Bodies

    It is in the public domain, how expensive it is to get enrolled to the medical field and to afford the system financially is a nightmare to many individuals with financial impecuniousness.

    If you are lucky to get sponsorship or scholarship then you win a jackpot if you’re an academic genius but unlucky if you’re an academic dwarf. Reason being: Sponsors on many occasions deal on ‘Get it right first time’ and affording Resit or Supplementary exams is similarly expensive meaning if you fail, you’ll have to take care of yourself thereafter, pay for your supplementary fee or rather resit fee which equals one full semester or a whole academic year depending on the number of papers you fail.

    Affording this for a peasant – low class is like a bête noire. These people try to make ends meet by searching for locums in private healthcare facilities or any other facility within the field of medicine where they can raise funds to pay the fee. Unfortunately, when caught by the concerned authorities, they’re considered Quacks not because of misdiagnosis but because of papers but genuinely true quacks who might have made their way to the graduation list after sex exchange or bribery are embroidered as Qualified professionals.

    Being that the system is corrupt to some extent, extortion still carries the day.

    Like in KMTC situation, Kenya Insights was informed of cases where Candidates receive two messages of Fail and Pass of Final Qualifying Examination (F.Q.E) results which we’ve concluded as an extortion scheme – “When you go to confirm why you were sent two texts, you will be probably denied the Pass and be confirmed Fail.” The aim of the System is money that you’ll pay when you get back for resit and it can be done as many times within limit of 4 years.

    …………………

    In conclusion, these ‘Quacks’ and Quacks sincerely can’t  be compared to employed Quack leaders of this nation who massively kills the future of our unborn children and the future generation every single moment.

  • Handshake: A Political Cheat Game

    Handshake: A Political Cheat Game

    Former Starehe MP Maina Kamanda finally clears the air about Handshake.

    The Jubilee’s nominated MP has said that President Uhuru’s impeachment plans were underway.

    With all the talk now resurfacing of what the handshake did, is doing or not doing lays unanswered questions.

    If The handshake was the only thing that saved President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was planning the impeachment.

    Was that the only thing that the Handshake was all about?

    How exactly did the handshake save Uhuru’s regime?

    So many people, some who had believed in change by revolution in order to reclaim Kenya, were made to look like a confused society.

    The handshake portrayed our political carelessness. Self love political agendas. Political hopelessness. It left many Kenyans puzzled because it is a ‘Political magic.’

    Handshake still looks like a shallow thought-out political cheat game.

    The Government of Kenya is still spending our taxes in running the same loosely thought out political cheat game.

    Handshake was an idea to create a political auction. The masterminds failed in setting up the right time before its launching.

    A rushed idea that is now being dangled  around the people to make it viable.

    There’s still increased corruption. There’s a political calm down because the handshake slowed everything down. The handshake has made political demonstrations uncouth.

    There’s still over borrowing. There’s still political rivalry. There’s still tribe orientation in our current political set up.

    We can’t be voting and supporting a government that has invested in killing our economy and auctioning our economy to neocolonialist with public debt.

    Ethiopian Airlines Maintains Its Brand As The Top Airline In Africa And What Kenya Airways Must Learn

    The aviation industry globally has experienced the worst year start with the recent Ethiopian Airline crash flight 302, a Boeing 737 Max that killed all on board, the year 2017 was the safest with no crash at all which outlay the fact that with focus and determination above all avid safety measures control system the Industry can be made safer.

    Ethiopian Airline (ET) is one of the safest airlines in Africa and the recent crash of its plane was one of the worst in the history of the Airline company owned by the Ethiopian Government. Initial reports from the crash investigations suggest that the accident may have been as a result of a software dysfunctionality that has resulted to Ethiopian airline grounding more than 30 planes of the said model and most countries in the world civil aviation authorities have grounded this model of airplane. Ethiopian Airline is best performing airline and only African government owned that has over years recorded an increase in profits, Most Governments owned airlines are loss-making entities that require government funding annually.

    The company has regional subsidiaries like Eritrean Airline, Malawian Airline, etc and owns the Bole International Airport which was crowned as the best and busiest airport in African. Ethiopian Airline is the oldest in Africa; it operates 125 passengers and 44 cargo destinations across the world. It was Crowned Best Airlines in Africa Award, for the 7th Consecutive year. ET boasts of having many fleets of the airplane including the famous Boeing 747-200 and several Boeing 777.

    Tentatively our national carrier the Kenya Airways has been experiencing losses for quite some time, the Kenyan Government owns the majority stake in this company however regardless of the shortcoming KQ is ranked 5th best airline in Africa, notably, it has 43 destinations across the globe with only 12 being international destinations. Owing to its good ranking in the region, with adequate marketing plus good business model the airline has the propensity to grow in the future but it must also fight the corruption and mismanagement leveled against the carrier in recent past.

    The traditional Pan American Airline and the Trans World Airlines which were the household or most preferred airlines in the 1980s thus most profitable in the world all the companies went bankrupt and collapsed not due to competition but mismanagement of the companies and funds. KQ must shift its focus from laying staff in a bid to cut off cost and start vibrant marketing strategy to expand its market niche, for example, the largest airline company in the world is the Fly Emirates with a large staff size but makes profit owing to its large market niche and efficient management of the company.

    Ethiopian Airline is the largest in the region and the only government-owned airline that makes profits. KQ needs a benchmarking schedule with the ET that also owns other regional subsidiaries mentioned above but our KQ only has the local Jambo Jet as its subsidiary. Fly Emirates has several Asian region based subsidiaries, by KQ expanding it market niche will go a long way in making it profitable and truly the Pride of Africa, KQ should be thinking about acquiring stake in the Uganda Air or Tanzanian Airto help it expand its financial muscles. This expansion can be done through voracious marketing both regionally and abroad, KQ recently launched direct flight to New York is experiencing a slow down due to lack of passengers and cargo plying that route, this again calls for serious marketing.

    I support the move by KQ to acquiring the running and operation of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) since it will have a positive multiplier effect on the profitability and growth of the firm. JKIA is among the top busiest airport in Africa and will offer a good leverage for the KQ notably all the best performing airlines in the world had an airport that the airline owned and thus operated, for example, Fly Emirates has the Dubai International Airport and Ethiopian Airline has the Bole International Airport that both of these airline companies ran and own, however, they should not move in haste to acquire such a property if managing the airline has proven to be a tall order for them over the years, that will only be viable to KQ in the future after making the company financially stable.

    Sameer Group’s Naushad Merali Impersonation Saga Of President Uhuru Opens A Pandora Box

    In what seems like a well planned out plot of people who’ve studied the system well to know how it runs and who to target a can of worms has been ripped out.

    Merali whom has had close ties with almost all administrations since Kenyatta era, was targeted by the now famous group of seven individuals in what has turned out to be an historic scamming.

    On January 14 recieved a call from the ‘President’ about a tender, the tycoon had no reason to doubt he caller was not the head of state. The caller perfectly mimicked his voice.

    Merali and the ‘President’ exchanged pleasantries on the phone, then got down to business.

    The ‘President informed Merali of a state tender he wanted the well-known businessman to enjoy. But there was a catch. The ‘head of state’ asked Merali for a small favour before he could embark on the lucrative contract, Sh10 million in advance for facilitation. That presumably was a trifle compared to the tender itself.

    It happened that Merali was outside the country but that wasn’t gonna stop the show given his appetite, he took the risk and tadked his financial officer to process the facilitation fee which at this point we will call it as it is, a bribe.

    So elaborate was the plan that the ‘President’ sent his men to pickup the cash from Merali’s office in Mombasa road. Sharply dressed men arrived with full Police escort and high range cars to clear any touch of doubt. They were given the Sh.10M.

    So here’s what I pick from the story that Mr. Merali and President Uhuru are obviously not new to each other and probably have had other personal engagements together beforehand for Merali to quickly give in to the mimicked voice.

    The suspects didn’t target Merali randomly and using uhuru’s voice randomly, this was elaborate, they must have had an insider information in order to be able to exploit the weak links. Sh10M is not a few coins that Merali would just give easily without solid assurance like the president himself collecting the money. The level of confidence Merali had on the ‘President’ could easily point at a possible previous and similar engagement.

    It also can mean that, there’s an elaborate ring including Statehouse officials who target businessmen and defraud in President’s name. Infact, Police investigations are exploring this possibility.

    The group has links to State House, Harambee House and other powerful offices which they use to execute their swindles.

    The scammers lure rich business people with the promises of restricted tenders mainly involving the supply of goods.

    To win the trust of potential bidders, the fraudsters in collusion with government officials and police officers forge documents on letterhead and invite their targets to government offices to sign fake documents. This opens up the Pandora box of how tenderprenuers enjoy privileges from the state officials and how money exchange hands to win contracts.

    Merali should be arrested on arrival at the airport from wherever he’s now comfortably hiding to answer on bribery and I’m certain investigators can extract more information from him to catch those in the web that is if they’re serious to take this case to the end.

    It also opens up a box of lies that the so called flamboyant ‘businessmen’ make their money, most of the suspects arrested live large, they’ve enjoyed positive press before. This isn’t the first time scamming case to hit the airwaves, it’s still fresh in minds about yet another flamboyant ‘businessman’ Jared Otieno who was also in the spotlight for fraud.
