Last month, three people among them a driver and his assistant were arrested on for transporting bhang using a PEFA church bus.

Voi OCPD Bernastein Shali confirmed the incident stating that the bus belonging to PEFA church was carrying 230 rolls of bhang estimated to be worth Ksh.46,000. According to the OCPD, the bus had been hired to ferry mourners from Kilifi to Homa Bay.

The bus was impounded on the Nairobi–Mombasa Highway while heading back to Kilifi.
The bhang was found packed together with Omena.
