Kenyan journalist and peace crusader Clause Masika has been selected as one of the delegates scheduled to attend a peace conference in Bangkok early next year.
He will join other delegates from Nigeria, Egypt, Cameroon, and Ghana.
It is the 5th Global Peace Summit and will take place from January 21–23, 2026, at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok.
The conference will bring together exceptional students from around the world to exchange ideas, engage with thought leaders, and develop actionable strategies for peacebuilding.
Speaking on the development, Masika thanked the organisers for giving him the opportunity.
“This will be my first global conference since the one I attended in Nairobi. I’m fully grateful and happy for the opportunity. It’s my dream that in the future we all have a peaceful world,” he said.
He also thanked President Donald Trump for spearheading the Israel-Hamas deal that will see many lives saved.
“To President Donald Trump: Feel loved. Thank you for your quick intervention in making a deal between Israel and Hamas,” he said.
Masika is an experienced journalist with skills in reporting matters of peace, crime, gender-based violence, and wildlife conservation.
He has previously worked with several media houses.
