Detectives are hot on trail for Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi and his Principal Secretary Paul Ronoh who’re being sought for arrest and prosecution for alleged involvement in the fake fertilizer scam.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) on Thursday approved the charges against the two following investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
This also follows the recent arrest and arraignment of National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) directors who took plea on Thursday and freed on bond.
Linturi was on Friday last week grilled by detectives at the DCI Headquarters in Kiambu where he denied involvement in the scam.
MPs on Thursday voted in favor of his impeachment and now his fate lies with the select committee that will be investigating the allegations against him.
