When I started suspecting that my husband was cheating, everyone told me I was just being paranoid. My friends said I was overthinking because I had just had our second baby and was feeling insecure. But a woman’s intuition is never wrong. He suddenly became secretive with his phone, started dressing up more than usual when going out, and would get defensive whenever I asked where he had been.
Things got worse when he started coming home late with the excuse of “working overtime.” Our conversations became cold and short, and intimacy almost disappeared. Deep down, I knew something was wrong.
My biggest fear was confirmed one evening when I borrowed his phone to order food and saw a text message from a woman saved under a man’s name. The message read, “I can’t wait to see you tonight.”
